Reading Interventionist

St. Andrew Catholic School (Elk River, MN) is seeking a caring, knowledgeable, and student-centered Part-Time Elementary Reading Interventionist to support students in developing foundational literacy skills and becoming confident readers. The Reading Interventionist will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration to provide targeted reading instruction and interventions for students in the K-3 grades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide small-group and/or individual reading intervention instruction to elementary students
• Assess student reading progress and monitor growth through ongoing data collection
• Implement research-based literacy intervention strategies using the Groves reading curriculum
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning goals
• Communicate student progress with teachers, administration, and families as appropriate
• Assist in identifying students who may benefit from additional academic support services
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and faith-filled learning environment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student interventions

Work Commitment: Part-time (estimated 4 hours/day)

Position Begins: School year 2026-2027

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
• Knowledge of evidence-based reading practices and literacy development
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Passion for helping students grow academically and personally
• Valid Minnesota teaching license preferred
• Training or experience in reading instruction, literacy intervention, or elementary education preferred
• Must be an active, practicing Catholic and in good standing with the church.
