2nd Grade Teacher

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School is seeking a full-time 2nd grade teacher.  The ideal candidate will be fully qualified, licensed, and experienced with the energy to fuel our mission of making Disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for excellence in faith virtue, service and academics. 

Job Description

Our new 2nd grade teacher will:

• Maintain high academic standards, while challenging each student to always do their best
• Instill strong character, Catholic values, and a love for learning
• Be committed to continually developing skills and improving as a teacher
• Partner with our parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each student
• Honor and support school initiatives, administrative decisions, the vision of our archdiocese, and the Catholic Church
• Prepare 2nd graders for the Sacraments of 1st Reconciliation and First Communion
• Take pride in their job as a Catholic school teacher

Job Qualifications

• A minimum of a BA or BS degree with a current MN teaching license to correspond with courses/grades taught
• Exhibit competence in instructional methods and knowledge of subject and curriculum relevant to the position
• A practicing Catholic, passionate about his or her faith
• Demonstrate evidence of good classroom management techniques
• The ability to develop and maintain a positive relationship with colleagues, parents, administration, and students
• Experience with technology in the classroom, Interactive White Boards, iPads, Chromebooks, MacBook
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with administration, students, staff, and parents
