Part-time Music Teacher

St. Timothy's Catholic School in Maple Lake, Minnesota is now accepting applications for a part-time K-8th Music Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.   We are a vibrant, joyful Catholic School with approximately 150 students.  Our Catholic mission permeates everything we do. We are looking for a joyful, knowledgeable Music teacher who understands the formative needs of young musicians.  He/she should be able to appreciate the relationship between the great tradition of sacred music in the Catholic Church and a love and skill for beautiful music in general. 

A candidate should be able to instruct students in scales along with being able to incorporate instruments--Orff or otherwise--to certain or all grades (the potential for helping with our band program exists).  Students should progress with a basic understanding of music theory in the higher grades. 

Experience in teaching (classroom, studio or otherwise) is preferred as well as an understanding of a traditional, liberal arts curricular philosophy. Ability to contribute to the overall mission of the school and collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and most especially, students, is also a great part of the job.

0.175 FTE (Full Time Equivalent), 7+ hours per week. Plus additional time as needed for music programs, not to exceed 4 work days per school year.
