Description

The Churches of St. Mary & St. Michael and St. Croix Catholic School are seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant to work 10-16 hours per week.

The primary role of this position is to assist the Human Resources Manager in all facets of the Human Resources department for the Churches of St. Michael & St. Mary and St. Croix Catholic School.  The person in this role will need to be highly organized and have a willingness to assist and provide support in a fast paced team environment working closely with the Human Resources Manager. A person who enjoys performing with a high degree of accuracy, has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys maintaining organization will be successful in this role.

General Responsibilities:
  • The HR Assistant supports HR functions by maintaining accurate records, ensuring HR processes are carried out accurately and efficiently, and assisting with recruitment efforts
  • This role supports HR systems updates and compliance
  • Help maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation with weekly filing
  • Provide administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and new hire paperwork
  • Assist with employee file management and training/compliance documentation
  • Makes photocopies, scans, and performs other clerical functions
  • Help with general HR tasks and projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree/career in Human Resources or related field or currently pursuing a degree/career in Human Resources or related field or comparable experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to assist others
  • Ability to maintain professional standards of confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, Publisher, Excel, Access, Google Suite, and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment as a team player
