Description

Visitation School seeks a full-time (1.0) Upper School Math Teacher (grades 9-12) beginning August 2026.  

 An independent Catholic day school, Visitation houses a co-ed Lower School, an all-girls Middle School, and an all-girls Upper School.   A member of NAIS and accredited by ISACS, the school is located on a beautiful 60-acre campus in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.  

Visitation’s philosophy of educating students is based on Salesian Spirituality and follows the teachings of our co-founders Saint Francis de Sales and Saint Jane de Chantal and their emphasis on the little virtues.  This commitment to Salesian Spirituality combined with  our focus on providing an empowering single-gender education where girls can focus fully on learning and can feel comfortable being themselves, creates a unique work experience. 

In this role may teach:  (Honors) Algebra II, Algebra I

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Is current and competent in the theories and pedagogy of Math instruction.
  • Enjoys collaborating with students and colleagues in and beyond the Math Department.

Potential classes the person in this role may teach:  (Honors) Algebra II, Algebra I

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Math-related field 
  • Three years of teaching experience 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Math, Education or related field
  • Five years of teaching experience
  • Prior teaching experience in an independent school
