Description
St. Michael Catholic School is seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented individual to serve as our Lunch Program Paraprofessional. This part-time position oversees the daily operations of the school hot lunch program while supporting the broader needs of our school community.
The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, technology competent, and enjoys working with children in a fast-paced school environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Lunch Program Operations
- Oversee daily hot lunch program operations
- Manage the cafeteria point-of-sale (POS) system, meal transactions, and family lunch accounts
- Track meals, process deposits, and complete required reporting
- Submit state documentation and maintain compliance requirements
- Support student supervision and positive behavior during breakfast and lunch
- Communicate with families regarding lunch accounts and program information
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and school administration
School Support
- Assist the front office, teachers, and school staff as needed
- Support additional school duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable learning and using technology systems
- Accurate, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Flexible, collaborative, and service-oriented
- Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with children
- Desire to support the mission and values of Catholic education
- Experience in food service administration, bookkeeping, school office systems, or customer service preferred
- Previous school experience helpful

Work Commitment:
- School Year
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Summer training will be provided.
