Position Summary
DeLaSalle High School seeks a visionary, collaborative, and mission-driven leader to serve as the founding Program Director of the Acutis Ethics & Innovation in AI Center. Inspired by the witness of Saint Carlo Acutis and rooted in the Catholic and Lasallian educational tradition, the Center prepares students to lead with wisdom, integrity, and innovation in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
The Program Director will be responsible for developing and leading the Center's strategic vision, curriculum, partnerships, and programming. This individual will work across departments to integrate ethical AI practices into teaching and learning while building a nationally recognized program that prepares students for college, careers, and lives of purpose.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the intersection of technology, ethics, education, and Catholic social teaching and is energized by building innovative programs from the ground up.
Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
About the Acutis Ethics & Innovation in AI Center
The Acutis Ethics & Innovation in AI Center is being created to ensure that students are not merely consumers of emerging technologies, but thoughtful, ethical, and innovative leaders who understand how artificial intelligence can be harnessed for the common good.
Grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition and the Lasallian commitment to educating the whole person, the Center will develop an interdisciplinary curriculum, establish an AI Ethics & Innovation Certificate Program, cultivate partnerships with universities and industry leaders, and serve as a model for ethical AI education in Catholic secondary schools.
Essential Responsibilities
Program Leadership
● Lead the vision, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of the Acutis Ethics & Innovation in AI Center.
● Develop and implement a multi-year strategic plan for the Center's growth and impact.
● Establish measurable goals and outcomes for student learning and program success.
● Collaborate with school leadership to align Center initiatives with DeLaSalle's mission and strategic priorities.
Curriculum & Certificate Development
● Design and implement an interdisciplinary AI Ethics & Innovation Certificate Program for students.
● Develop curriculum that integrates:
○ Artificial intelligence literacy
○ Ethical decision-making
○ Catholic social teaching
○ Innovation and entrepreneurship
○ Human-centered design
○ Career readiness
● Collaborate with faculty to embed ethical AI instruction across academic disciplines.
● Continuously evaluate and refine curriculum to reflect emerging technologies and best practices.
Faculty Development & AI Integration
● Serve as DeLaSalle's internal resource for responsible AI implementation.
● Provide professional development and coaching for faculty and staff regarding ethical AI use in education.
● Develop school-wide guidelines and best practices for AI use by students and educators.
● Foster a culture of thoughtful innovation while protecting academic integrity and human-centered learning.
Partnership Development
● Build and maintain strategic relationships with colleges, universities, nonprofits, technology companies, and community organizations.
● Coordinate collaborative programming, guest speakers, internships, research opportunities, and student experiences.
● Serve as the primary liaison between the Center and external partners.
● Identify opportunities for grants, sponsorships, and collaborative initiatives.
Student Programming
● Coordinate workshops, seminars, speaker series, competitions, and experiential learning opportunities.
● Support student innovation projects and interdisciplinary collaborations.
● Develop opportunities for students to earn credentials, certifications, or college credit where appropriate.
● Encourage student leadership within the Center.
Assessment & Growth
● Measure program outcomes using data related to student engagement, learning, college readiness, and post-secondary pathways.
● Prepare reports for school leadership, donors, grant funders, and partner organizations.
● Stay current on developments in artificial intelligence, education, ethics, and workforce trends.

Qualifications
Required
● Bachelor's degree in education, technology, philosophy, theology, business, computer science, or a related field.
● Experience developing educational programming, curriculum, or innovative learning initiatives.
● Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
● Strong relationship-building and communication abilities.
● Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and the Lasallian tradition.
● Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
● Experience with artificial intelligence technologies or AI education.
Preferred
● Master's degree in a relevant field.
● Experience with artificial intelligence technologies or AI education.
● Background in ethics, philosophy, theology, or Catholic social teaching.
● Grant writing or partnership development experience.
● Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
