Description
St. Stephen’s Catholic School is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and dedicated 5th Grade Substitute Teacher Sept-Jan to join our faculty during the 2026–2027 academic year. We are a vibrant Catholic community committed to academic excellence, the spiritual formation of our students, and the joyful pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Catholic education, love working with children, and possess a strong foundation in elementary education. As a 5th grade teacher, you will guide students in their academic growth, character formation, and spiritual development in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and implementing engaging, standards-based lessons in all core subject areas.
- Integrating faith and Catholic values throughout the curriculum and daily classroom life.
- Collaborating with faculty and staff to support student growth and school community.
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Participating in school events, liturgies, and professional development.
- Be present and ready to work on time for all scheduled hours.
- Must be detailed oriented and organized
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain appropriate certification).
- Previous teaching experience in a Catholic or classical educational setting preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered and nurturing classroom environment.
