Saint Raphael Catholic School is seeking a joyful, energetic, and mission-driven Summer Care Teacher to support our Summer Care Program. This role is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with children and desires to create a summer filled with fun, creativity, and meaningful experiences.

Position Overview

The Summer Care Teacher will work closely with the Program Coordinator to help lead daily activities, mentor students, and ensure a positive and structured environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in leading daily summer programming for students

  • Help plan and facilitate art projects, games, and creative activities

  • Support and encourage student participation in a summer reading program

  • Accompany and supervise students on field trips and outings

  • Foster a joyful, safe, and welcoming environment for all students

  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor to children

  • Assist with supervision, transitions, and daily routines

Schedule & Details

  • Summer program runs: June 8th - August 14th

  • Hours: 7:30-4:30

  • Compensation: $18/hr-$20/hr

  • Can be flexible with hours, you can work morning shifts 7:30-12:30 or Noon-4:30 or both shifts each day.  Up to 35 hours a week.

  • Love for working with children and building relationships

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to help lead and manage groups of students

  • Dependability and a strong work ethic

  • Commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic education

  • Must pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting

  • Background in education or pursuing a teaching degree

  • Practicing Catholic or someone who supports the mission of the Church
