PreK Teacher

Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full time PreK Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, teaching 4-5 year olds, M-F.  The work hours are 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. with student contact time from 8:00 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.  As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire children to deepen their faith and grow academically. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic who supports student learning through developmentally appropriate educational activities and lessons, assessments and hands-on experiences. He/she will create an inviting and meaningful learning environment. The teacher will work in partnership with other staff, families, and students and will communicate effectively with these groups.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pre-Kindergarten teacher, overseeing daily routines such as attendance and lesson plans
• Support the academic, social, and spiritual development of PreK students
• Communicate regularly with PreK families regarding student progress and needs
• Collaborate with other teachers for planning and curriculum alignment
• Help students transition between PreK and Kindergarten
• Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons
• Incorporate hands-on learning experiences in the classroom.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment
• Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success
• Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities

Work Commitment: Full time

Wage and Benefits: $45,000-$68,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience; Retirement Plan; Health, Dental and Vision Insurance; Life Insurance

Position Begins: School year 2026-2027

You must be qualified to teach in an Early Childhood, Rule 3 Licensed Preschool setting.  The requirements include:

• A license from the Minnesota Department of Education for Prekindergarten, or
• A license from the Minnesota Department of Education for elementary education with a Kindergarten endorsement or

Must meet the requirements of the Diocese of St. Cloud Safe Environment Training, Code of Conduct, and Background check before working with students.
