Description

The Upper School at Ave Maria Academy is now accepting applications for a full-time Language Arts Teacher. This highly sought-after position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of mission-focused educators and administrators who authentically live out the Catholic faith while providing an excellent educational experience in language arts for students in grades 5–8.

Qualifications

  • Be an active, practicing Catholic committed to joyfully witnessing the faith to students
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience preferred
  • Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic education
  • Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ and be a Christian role model in speech, actions and attitudes which contribute to the spiritual atmosphere of the school
  • Enthusiasm and passion for teaching upper school middle school language arts
  • Skill in motivating and engaging students in the learning process
  • Experience in classroom management and be able to positively motivate students
