Description
Guiding Star Wakota is seeking a highly organized, dependable Office Manager to keep our administrative and operational functions running smoothly. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys creating order, supporting a team, solving day-to-day problems, and managing the important details behind a mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Own
· Human resources administration, including onboarding and offboarding, personnel records, benefits and health insurance administration, PTO and training records, background checks, and employee documentation.
· Grant management and tracking
· Office operations, supplies, equipment, shared systems, records, and general administrative needs.
· Facilities coordination, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, security, IT support, inspections, and building needs.
· Vendor relationships, service agreements, contracts, renewals, and insurance documentation.
· Office and space rental administration, including contracts, scheduling, building access, and communication with internal renters and occasional outside users.
· Staff meeting scheduling, agendas and materials, meeting minutes, action-item documentation, and organization-wide administrative communications.
· Front desk, phone, and visitor coverage as needed.
What We’re Looking For
· 3+ years of office management, HR administration, operations, nonprofit administration, or related experience preferred.
. Education Requirements: Associate’s degree or higher required.
· Strong organization, attention to detail, judgment, and follow-through.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and proactively.
· Professional communication skills and discretion with confidential information.
· Comfort working with employees, vendors, contractors, insurance providers, and outside partners.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based administrative systems.
· Commitment to the mission, Statement of Faith, and values of Guiding Star Wakota.
Position Details
Schedule: 16 hours per week, primarily on-site with some scheduling flexibility. Compensation: $24–$26 per hour, depending on experience. Reports to: Executive Director Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
