Afternoon Preschool Care Coordinator

St. Mark’s Preschool in St. Paul, MN is seeking an Afternoon Preschool Care Coordinator for PreK students, ages 3-5 years old, for 30 hours per week.

Monday-Friday 12:00 - 6:00pm on days that preschool is in session.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a safe & loving, positive, Christ-like atmosphere in which each child’s personal dignity is respected.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, clean, and safe space where the children are supervised and protected from harm.
• Engage the students in indoor and outdoor play with art projects and activities. 
• Help the children learn conflict and social emotional skills
• Collaborate and communicate with other afternoon preschool staff
• Foster open communication with the students and parents on a daily basis
• Manage child pick-ups and assist families as needed
• Complete all of the closing tasks necessary to ensure the preschool is ready for the next day

Salary is determined based on qualifications. This position is eligible for benefits.

• Be at least 18 years of age 
• Able to walk, squat, kneel, move around and possibly lift up to 50 pounds
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related teaching field or equivalent experience working with preschool-aged children.
• Possess passion and skills necessary to provide loving, faith filled, and consistent care for children ages 3-5 years old
• Possess excellent communication skills to speak with parents about positive and difficult things
• Complete background check, code of conduct, and Virtus training once hired.
• Complete all of the MN state childcare licensing requirements including CPR/First Aid upon hire.
