Family Faith Formation Director

Family Faith Formation Director: The Family Faith Formation Director leads and develops the parish’s formation of children in Grades 1–5 and their parents, with the family as the primary place where faith is handed on. Working as a co-worker alongside the Formation staff and parish peers, the Director ensures children move smoothly from early childhood into elementary formation and on to middle school, as part of one integrated, parish-wide pathway of lifelong discipleship.

Required
• Faith: Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, with a joyful witness to Jesus Christ and a deep love for the Church’s teaching on marriage and family life.
• Lay Ecclesial Ministry: Committed to the principles of Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord (USCCB), with the
human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation it describes.
• Relational Ministry: Able to accompany people wherever they are on the discipleship pathway.
• Collaboration: A proven team player who resists silos and thrives in shared leadership with peer directors.
• Safe Environment: Able to pass a background check and complete VIRTUS training.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Catechetics, Pastoral Studies, Family Formation, Elementary Education,
or a related field. Equivalent ministry experience considered.

Preferred
• Experience: Parish or catechetical ministry experience with children and families.
• CGS: Familiarity with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, or willingness to learn it.
