Position Summary
The Youth Ministry Coordinator assists the Director of Youth Ministry in building a vibrant ministry for youth in grades 7–12. This position supports youth discipleship, evangelization, and ministry programming while providing administrative and organizational support for Youth Ministry. The coordinator works collaboratively with parish staff and volunteers to create engaging opportunities that challenge young people to pursue holiness through the sacramental life, prayer, vocation, catechesis, and virtue. Evening and weekend hours are required to support youth ministry programming, retreats, parish events, and seasonal activities.

Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities
• Support the planning and development of Youth Ministry programs, including the annual calendar, curriculum, and opportunities for youth discipleship and evangelization, under the direction of the Director of Youth Ministry.
• Recruit, train, organize, and support volunteers and small group leaders, providing ongoing communication and coordination.
• Coordinate and assist with youth ministry events and initiatives, including retreats, conferences, camps, mission experiences, and parish-wide youth opportunities.
• Support Youth Ministry communications, providing timely and engaging communication with youth, parents, volunteers, and the parish community through appropriate parish platforms, in collaboration with and as directed by the Director of Youth Ministry.
• Provide administrative and operational support for Youth Ministry, including registrations, records, scheduling, correspondence, supplies, purchasing, facilities, and administrative volunteers, while collaborating with parish staff and ministries.
Qualifications and Required Competencies
• Practicing Roman Catholic who desires to make Jesus known and loved.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Passion for youth ministry, discipleship, and evangelization.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with middle school and high school youth, parents, volunteers, and parish staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate evenings, weekends, retreats, and parish events.
• Must be Essential 3 compliant on the first day of employment as required by the Archdiocese.
Skills and Preferences
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, ParishSOFT, Flocknote, social media platforms).
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a ministry team.
• Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Strong administrative and project management skills.
• Heart for accompanying young people as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
