Salary Range: $60,000 to $72,300

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

JOB SUMMARY

The Campus Minister (Program Manager II) advances the University of St. Thomas’ mission to educate students to be morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely, and work skillfully to advance the common good. This position accompanies students throughout their university experience, creating opportunities for them to encounter Jesus Christ through the Catholic Tradition, grow in faith, and be formed as disciples who integrate the pursuit of truth, faith, and virtue in their lives. The Campus Minister provides a welcoming and supportive presence for students of all religious backgrounds. This position fosters a campus culture of religious understanding, dialogue, and belonging, while helping connect students with the religious opportunities on campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversee the Peer Ministry program.  Includes the supervision of 5-6 Peer Ministers as they create meaningful encounters and support our students on their faith journey through programs, regular community-building events, one-on-ones, and service.
• Provide outreach and/or pastoral support to students as needed.
• Help lead the “Tommie Catholic” initiative.
• Supervise our contracted part-time Jewish and Muslim Chaplains
• Partner with a variety of UST offices and Affiliate Ministries to foster Campus Ministry’s spiritual programming, collaboration with and presence in the life of the University.
• Participate actively, positively, and collaboratively in the Campus Ministry Team including staff meetings, assigned projects as part of the overall team. And complete duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry or a related field
• Five years of experience in program management

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or a related field
• Prior ministry work experience
