Youth Ensemble Leader

St. John's of Little Canada is looking for a Choir Director and or Accompanist for a Youth Ensemble.  This position is part-time approximately 10 hours per week. Options to do repertoire planning, rehearsals, directing Masses and accompanying. Hours and pay would be adjusted to reflect to scope of role.

Degree in Music Education, Music, Theology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Experience directing choral ensembles, children or youth (K–8 experience preferred)

Ability to accompany piano or organ (preferred but not required)

Demonstrated ability to motivate, engage, and develop students of different ages and abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of Catholic liturgy and the role of music in the Mass

Practicing Catholic committed to the mission of St. John the Evangelist Church and School

Respect and follow Roman Catholic Doctrine and religious practices

Pass Archdiocesan background checks and complete VIRTUS training
