Position Overview
Carondelet Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will support the mission of Catholic education by fostering academic excellence, nurturing spiritual growth, and building meaningful relationships with students and families.

Key Responsibilities

Mission & Community

• Support and actively promote the mission, philosophy, and values of Carondelet Catholic School
• Model and integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily interactions and instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and parish community members to support a positive school culture

Instruction & Student Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with school curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology to enhance student learning
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate clearly with students and families
• Build strong relationships with students, encouraging both academic and personal growth

Professional Responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
• Maintain accurate student records and meet all reporting deadlines
• Communicate regularly and promptly with families and school staff
• Remain open to feedback, growth, and new instructional practices

Student Supervision & Safety

• Provide consistent supervision of students during school hours and school activities
• Support a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
• Follow all school, local, and state safety policies and procedures
• Respond appropriately to student needs and emergency situations

School Involvement

• Participate in school events such as Open House, conferences, and Catholic Schools Week
• Assist with supervision duties including recess, lunch, and dismissal as assigned
• Support extracurricular activities, committees, or special projects as needed

• Hold a minimum of a BA/BS or demonstrate equivalency from an accredited institution.
• Have and maintain a Minnesota teaching license or meet the requirements of the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).
• Complete a background check with no history of substantiated child abuse or neglect and attend a VIRTUS training session prior to employment.
• Carries out these duties and responsibilities in support of the Mission Statement and philosophy of Carondelet Catholic School.
