Description
Position Overview
St. Jude of the Lake is seeking a full-time K–8 Spanish teacher for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will teach Spanish to students in kindergarten through eighth grade, developing their core language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This position is ideal for an educator who loves the Spanish language, Hispanic cultures, and helping students grow in confidence communicating in Spanish. If helping students discover the joy of learning a new language while building real proficiency excites you, this role may be a great fit.
At St. Jude, we believe elementary and middle school students are capable of far more than simple exposure to a language. We are committed to building a Spanish program that produces meaningful, measurable growth from year to year. We are looking for a teacher who combines engaging instruction with high expectations, helping students steadily develop real language skills throughout their time at St. Jude.
While the overall vision for the program is established, there is significant opportunity to strengthen the curriculum and shape the learning experience. We welcome educators who enjoy developing lessons, incorporating new instructional resources, and creating authentic language experiences through cultural activities, field trips, and other immersive opportunities.
Our goal is for every St. Jude graduate to leave with a strong enough foundation to begin high school in Spanish II and, for the more advanced, Spanish III.
