Physical Education Teacher, K-8, Health, gr. 6-8

Sacred Heart Catholic School is looking for a full-time PreK-8 Physical Education teacher and Health teacher, gr. 6-8 for the 2026-2027 school year.

This position works closely with our middle school team for planning and collaboration.

• Plan and prepare effective lessons that are engaging for PreK-8th grade students.
• Maintain a classroom environment that is positive and safe for the students.
• Communicate with parents, students and staff regarding academics, behavior, safety, and school events.
• Participate in weekly middle school team meetings for planning and organization of middle school events.
• Participate in PM middle school homeroom at the end of the day and take part in weekly advisory classes.
• Maintain appropriate and safe conduct in the classroom  to ensure student safety and supervision.
• Be present and ready to work on time to meet all responsibilities.

• MN teaching licensure (PE preferred).
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on MN standards.
• Ability to supervise children actively to ensure safety through a range of lessons throughout the day.
• Able to engage students at all grade levels, PreK-8th grade.
• Complete a background check and Virtus certification after hiring.
