Join Our Mission-Driven Team as Parish Financial Assistant & Safe Environment Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to support our parish community through stewardship, financial management, and a commitment to a safe environment for all. This is a part-time 24 hour per week in office position with some scheduling flexibility.

What You'll Do:

  1. Support Our Parish Community:
    • Advance Saint Rose's mission: Glorify God. Follow Jesus. Love one another. Invite Everyone.
    • Be a present, reliable team player who is willing to offer support to colleagues. Contribute ideas, perspectives, and skills to help our team accomplish parish-wide goals.
    • Be a valuable contributor to our team who is present, reliable, and helpful to colleagues.
    • Be mission-minded, ready to contribute ideas, perspectives, and skills that help our whole team achieve parish-wide goals.
  2. Stewardship & Financial Management:
    • Accurately process payroll, track timesheets, and maintain stewardship records.
    • Lead and support volunteer money counters.
    • Prepare donations and offertory for deposit.
    • Organize and record parishioner contributions, prepare statements, and coordinate mailings.
    • Maintain up-to-date parishioner data and support online giving.
    • Ensure that gratitude is expressed to our generous community.
  3. Safe Environment Leadership:
    • Champion a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with Archdiocesan policies for children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
    • Conduct regular audits, communicate compliance deadlines, and collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure everyone is protected.
  4. Communication & Confidentiality:
    • Communicate clearly and compassionately with staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
    • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, trust, and integrity in all interactions.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in database maintenance, bookkeeping (required) accounting (preferred).
  • Proficiency with office software including Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with ParishSoft Family Suite/Accounting software preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Catholic stewardship practices and a commitment to our parish mission.
  • Successful completion of background checks and VIRTUS training.
