Middle School Religion Teacher + Service-Learning & Liturgy Coordinator

Annunciation Catholic School seeks a full-time Middle School Religion Teacher (6th- 8th Grade) for the remainder 2026-27 school year. This position includes four days of teaching religion classes to two sections per grade level as well helping to coordinate grade-level and school wide service-learning and liturgy experiences.

Annunciation is a Preschool-8th grade Catholic school in the heart southwest Minneapolis. We are Minnesota’s only Catholic, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school! Our mission is to foster each child’s potential to create a better world through faith, virtue, knowledge, and service to others. We strive to meet students and families where they are at on their faith journeys and inspire them to put their faith into action through engaging teaching, intentional and relational service-learning and engaging and meaningful liturgies. Serving students and families since 1923, we currently serve over 340 students ages 3-14, with middle school class sizes ranging from 18-24 students per class. Our staff (the Dream Team) has about 30 teachers and a support staff that includes classroom aides, paraprofessionals, and mental health professionals to support all of our learners and educators thrive.

We are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and passionate middle school teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. This teacher will be part of a collaborative team, helping create a positive, engaging environment for learning. This role serves as a Middle School team member but also collaborates across grade levels for service-learning and liturgy planning. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
● Salary Range: $40k-$75k commensurate with credentials and experience

QUALIFICATIONS
● Must be an active, practicing Catholic to serve in this role as a teacher of Religion
● Knowledge of the Catholic faith, Catholic Social Teaching,
● Ability to work effectively with others in a collaborative environment
● Experience with trauma-informed practices and settings
● Ability to apply understanding of child development (physical, emotional, and academic) in classroom
● Ability to interact and clearly communicate with children, parents, and staff members
● Ability to create a meaningful, inviting learning environment to meet the needs of our students in partnership with families
● Strong classroom management skills
● Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, Master’s Degree preferred
● Current Minnesota Department of Education Teaching Licensure (or pending) preferred
