Kindergarten Teacher

St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a caring, energetic, and faith-filled educator to join our team as a full-time Kindergarten Teacher. We are looking for someone who loves working with young children and is passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually during one of the most important years of their education.

At St. Wenceslaus, our primary focus is to provide a nurturing, faith-based educational experience for students in Preschool through 8th grade. As a rural Catholic school community rooted in faith, tradition, and strong family partnerships, we strive to create an environment where students are known, supported, challenged, and loved.

Our kindergarten program focuses on developing the whole child through engaging learning experiences, strong routines, faith formation, creativity, and joyful discovery.

Position Overview

The Kindergarten Teacher will:

• Create a warm, welcoming, and structured classroom environment
• Foster a love of learning through hands-on, developmentally appropriate instruction
• Support students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Collaborate closely with fellow teachers and school staff
• Integrate Catholic values and faith into the daily life of the classroom

This position is ideal for an educator who is nurturing, organized, collaborative, creative, and enthusiastic about early childhood and elementary education.

Responsibilities

The Kindergarten Teacher will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to curriculum standards
• Create meaningful learning experiences that encourage curiosity and growth
• Maintain positive classroom routines and behavior expectations
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
• Participate in the faith life and mission of the school
• Support school activities, events, and community-building opportunities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, paraprofessionals, and administration

The teacher will help create an environment where students feel safe, loved, confident, and excited to come to school each day.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• A current Minnesota Teaching License
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Knowledge of child development and early elementary education
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A positive and flexible attitude
• Support for the mission and philosophy of Catholic education
• Comfort using technology and educational tools to support instruction
