St. Hubert Catholic Community is seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded Accounting and Payroll Specialist to support the financial and payroll operations of the parish, school, and ministries. This vital role ensures accurate accounting, responsible stewardship of resources, timely payroll processing, and excellent service to staff and parishioners.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and deposits
  • Serve as the parish expert on the accounting system and Chart of Accounts
  • Process invoices, prepare payments, maintain vendor records, and ensure documentation and tax compliance
  • Maintain accurate contribution records, donor acknowledgements, and year-end giving statements
  • Assist with month-end, year-end, and audit preparation
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and oversee time and attendance systems
  • Serve as an on-site payroll and benefits resource for staff
  • Support onboarding and benefits enrollment in collaboration with contracted HR services

Location: St. Hubert Catholic Community – Chanhassen, MN
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), 12 months, benefits eligible
Salary Range: $23.00– $28.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
Reports to: Parish Business Administrator

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or equivalent experience in bookkeeping/payroll
  • Three or more years of accounting or payroll experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting/payroll software
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Respect for and support of Catholic mission and values (position does not require being Catholic)
