As the first point of contact for prospective families, the Director plays a key role in sharing the mission of the Academy, building trust-based relationships, and supporting the growth of a vibrant Catholic community.

This full-time, year-round leadership role oversees student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, family engagement, and community outreach. The ideal candidate is a faithful Catholic, a skilled communicator, and a relational leader with strong organizational ability. Responsibilities include guiding the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment, coordinating recruitment and community events, supporting family engagement initiatives, and collaborating with faculty, staff, parishes, and community partners to advance the mission of Ave Maria Academy. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required.

About Us: Ave Maria Academy is a Catholic school educating students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade in Maple Grove, MN.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, marketing, business, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Graduate Certificate in Catholic School Leadership through the University of St. Thomas School of Divinity, or ability to apply within the first year. Certificate is fully funded.
  • Practicing Catholic with a strong moral character and commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
  • Demonstrated appreciation for and ability to communicate the value of Catholic education to prospective families and the broader community.
  • Experience with admissions, enrollment management, marketing, communications, public relations, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings and engage diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and positively represent the school within the community.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing, community engagement, and enrollment management principles and practices preferred.
