Organization: Edge of the Red Sea Ministries (ERSM)
Location: Remote
Schedule: Flexible, part-time, 8-10 hours per week
Hours: Available to work during these hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM CT
Availability: Occasional evening/weekend availability required based on business needs
Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour
Reports To: Executive Director

Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, mission-driven, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to keep our daily operations running smoothly. In a small non-profit, every day looks a little different. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys wearing many hats, managing central office tasks, and interacting directly with our community, donors, and board members.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Office Coordination: Manage daily administrative tasks, including supporting Executive Director
communications, maintaining donor information, processing donor deposits, assisting with the
preparation and distribution of year-end contribution statements, and responding to general phone or email inquiries.
Scheduling & Logistics: Maintain organization calendars, assist with new-member onboarding, support community and board meetings, and coordinate logistics or registration for special events.
Communications Support: Draft routine correspondence, format and distribute community
communications and newsletters, package new-member materials, and manage the creation and delivery of social media posts, prayer intentions, or other publications.
Data Analytics: Assist with tracking, compiling, and analyzing organizational data. This includes generating routine reports on donor trends, tracking email newsletter engagement, monitoring social media metrics, and compiling event attendance data to help optimize outreach and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in an administrative support, office assistant, or virtual assistant role. Experience working or volunteering in a non-profit environment is a major plus.
Software Proficiency: Strong comfort level with standard modern workplace technology. Experience with Google Workspace (Our primary workspace), Microsoft Office, website and community platforms (WordPress, Mighty Networks), Zoom, design tools (Canva), and social media (Facebook, Instagram) is highly preferred. Comfort learning basic database software or CRM tools is highly valued.
Professional Skills: Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail. Reliable time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A warm, professional demeanor when interacting with external partners and the public.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in basic video editing
