Description
Holy Family Catholic Church is seeking an organized, motivated and faith filled Summer Intern to support the Director of Youth and Young Adult Apostolate.
This temporary, part-time role will assist with planning and leading youth activities, retreats and service opportunities while helping build relationships with youth and fostering a welcoming community. This is a great opportunity for someone considering ministry, education, or youth development to gain hands on experience in a supportive environment.
- Status: Part-time (15-20 hours/week)
- Duration: Initial Position May through August, possibility to extend
- Compensation: $15 per hour
- Supervisor: Director of Youth and Young Adult Apostolate
- Candidate: College Student or recent graduate; age 21+ strongly preferred
Responsibilities and Time Commitments
- Weekly Program Support (8-10 hours/week)
- Assist with planning and implementation of weekly or biweekly youth group meetings
- Prepare materials and setup middle and high school gatherings
- Participate in youth group sessions as second leader
- Administrative Tasks (4 hours/week)
- Maintain and update summer event registration
- Coordinate with SEC to ensure Safe Environment compliance for all volunteers/chaperones
- Respond to parent inquiries and coordinate volunteer schedules
- Assist with financial management
- Event Planning and Execution (2-3 hrs/week variable; full-time EFC and Summer Stretch.)
- Assist with planning for Extreme Faith Camp and Summer Stretch
- Assist in coordination of logistics for transportation, food, supplies, etc.
- Serve as chaperone (over 21)
- Help with setup and cleanup for activities
- Formation and Supervision (1-3 hours/week)
- Weekly Meeting with Director for Planning and formation
- Receive ongoing mentoring, and vocational discernment support
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software and programs
- Successfully complete standard Archdiocese Background Checks and VIRTUS training
