Description

St. Croix Catholic School is looking for a full-time School Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. Ideal candidates will have counseling experience in a school setting, Elementary experience preferred. Master’s Degree in School Counseling/Social Work/or related fields, preferred. -Active license as a clinician (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, or School Social Worker, School Counselor or School Psychologist, or a doctoral level degree in the field of psychology). Candidates must be a practicing Catholic with excellent communication and organizational skills. Compensation for this role will depend on experience and will be between $38,000 to $65,000 annually.

-Provide expertise to students and families in the areas of social and emotional wellness through a lens of Virtue Formation and a Christian understanding of the human person.

-Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on mental health and related student concerns, including best practices for supporting students.

-Provide additional formation related to student well-being, as needed.

-Provide short-term individualized counseling, risk assessments, and interventions.

-Provide students, in small groups and whole groups, with tools and skills for conflict management, as well as social and emotional formation

-Refer students for outside counseling support, a psychiatric evaluation, or other mental health-related concerns.

-Serve as the point of contact for outside providers and communicate the needs of the students to the appropriate faculty and staff.

-Collect and document data on services provided during the year.

-Participate in ongoing student support and academic support meetings.

Qualifications

1. Candidates must be a practicing Catholic

2. Master’s Degree in School Counseling/Social Work/or related fields, preferred.

3. Active license as a clinician (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, or School Social Worker, School Counselor or School Psychologist, or a doctoral level degree in the field of psychology).

4. Counseling experience in a school setting, Elementary experience preferred.

5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
