Director of Advancement and Engagement

Shakopee Area Catholic School is seeking a highly motivated Director of Advancement and Engagement to develop strategy, organization, execution and assessment of advancement and fundraising efforts across the community.  This includes major gift fundraising, event-based fundraising and friend raising initiatives, and developing a culture of philanthropy within the community.

Building on the tradition of the Shakopee Catholic Community, the Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne exists to passionately lead people to Jesus Christ and sacramental life in the Catholic Church.  The campus includes three (3) church facilities and the school campus for Shakopee Area Catholic School (SACS) and 3 cemeteries. SACS was established in 1970 as a consolidation of the three Catholic Parishes of Shakopee. In 2013, Shakopee Area Catholic School officially became the parish school of Saints Joachim and Anne of Shakopee. SACS is a school of about 600 students in grades PreK to 8 with nearly 100 caring staff members.

Bachelor’s Degree required; previous work experience preferred.  Experience in enrollment management, development sales, and/or volunteer management. Ability to build a team, effectively recruiting and managing volunteers. Superior communication skills, ability to conceptualize and execute strategic plans, the ability to interact confidently and effectively with school staff, students, donors, trustees, school administration, the media and alumni. Working knowledge of Google Suite, Salesforce, and social media platforms. Practicing Catholic.
