Accompanist

Mary, Mother of the Church of Burnsville is seeking a piano accompanist for our vibrant and diverse weekend liturgies.

Duties

• Serve as accompanist for Sunday 11:00 am Mass.
• Serve as accompanist for holyday and special parish liturgies, such as, but not limited to, Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter, Station of the Cross as scheduled.
• Serve occasionally as accompanist at other weekend Masses, as scheduled.
• Serve as accompanist for weekly Wednesday evening choir rehearsals September – May and at additional rehearsals as needed.
• Serve as accompanist at Mass during the summer, as scheduled.
• Serve as accompanist for special liturgy rehearsals, as scheduled.
• Rehearse with cantor or choir prior to assigned liturgies.
• Occasionally assist Music Directors with sectional rehearsals.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of three years experience in liturgical music

Skills and Personal Qualities

• Competency in accompanying on piano
• Flexibility and comfort with multiple styles of liturgical music
• Ability to work collaboratively with other musicians
• Experience playing Organ is a plus, but not required
