Job Description
Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Maplewood, Minnesota is seeking a strong candidate for the position of 4th Grade Teacher. We are a K-8 Catholic school supported by a close community of families that are committed to academic excellence, character development, and spiritual formation. This candidate will embrace our beautifully diverse community and be excited to welcome a range of learning styles and differences into his/her classroom.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with elementary students
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in education.
• A teaching license is preferred, not required; however ongoing professional development is required
• Support of the Catholic faith and willingness to teach and uphold the tenets of our faith
• Training and experience in running a classroom successfully
• Strong communication skills and a great ability to form relationships with students and families
• Passion for the art and craft of teaching and commitment to being a life long learner
• Ability to pass background checks and complete required safe environment training
