Maintenance Technician

Purpose of the Position: To provide a clean and safe physical environment for the school community.

This is a full or part-time position, $18-23/hour.

General Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, making minor repairs, and assisting with seasonal upkeep of the school grounds (e.g., snow removal, lawn care).
• Anticipate needs and be proactive.
• Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct at all times.
• Be present, punctual, and fully engaged in the school community and its mission.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all matters.
• Support student activities and participate in key school functions, including evening and weekend events as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance/custodial experience desired.
• Ability to demonstrate or willingness to learn technology skills as the position demands.
• Remain in compliance with Virtus requirements.
• Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and the values of Holy Family Catholic High School.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Use of a computer for long periods of time.
• Occasional evening or weekend events/meetings and travel
• Reliable personal transportation
