School Programs Assistant

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic individual to join our school team. This role combines three key areas of support: supervising early learning center students during teacher breaks, assisting teachers in the classroom, and providing after school care for school-age students. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is flexible, and thrives in a collaborative school environment. Hours will be 10:00-5:30 on school days.

• Early Learning Center
  • Oversee student behavior and safety in the classroom with other classroom teachers.
  • Foster a positive and respectful environment.
  • Assist with preschool lunch time. This includes, cleaning, organization, and transitions before/after lunch.
• Classroom Assistance
  • Support teachers with daily classroom activities.
  • Work with small groups or individual students as directed.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
• After School Care
  • Provide engaging, age-appropriate activities for school-age children.
  • Supervise homework, games, and recreational activities.
  • Ensure a safe and positive space for students until parent pickup.

High school diploma (some college or experience in education/childcare preferred).

Prior experience working with children in schools, camps, or childcare settings.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
