Reading Specialist/Groves Coach, K-4 (4 days a week)

1.  Support our Groves Literacy Reading program and teachers in K-3.
2. Mentor new teachers and observe weekly 30 minute Groves lessons until they are certified.
3. Provide support and guidance for Groves reading teachers by reinforcing the Groves instructional methods and maintain fidelity of the program.
4. Report to the principal on a monthly basis and/or as needed to help maintain a fidelity of the Groves Literacy program.
5. Working with our Groves coach, meet with teachers as required for professional development that is provided from Groves.Ensure that teachers are completing the necessary requirements.
6. Provide modeling of lessons or small group interventions for teachers that need additional support.Teachers may need to observe you teaching reading to 1st graders.
7. Serve as a role model for our Groves teachers, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride in teaching and leading at Sacred Heart Catholic School.
8. Provide Tier 3 Groves interventions for students in K-3.

1.  Have a MN teacher license.
2.  Groves certified as a teacher.
3.  Able to work collaboratively with other staff.
4.  Provide positive support for new teachers.
5.  Maintain communication with teachers to maintain the fidelity of the Groves reading program.
