Description
Blessed Trinity Catholic School is seeking an Administrative Assistant, also called Penn Campus Secretary, to join our school team for the 2025-2026 school year. The Penn Administrative Assistant serves as initial contact in the school office and a primary source of communication for all involved in the school, including but not limited to students, parents, volunteers, teachers, staff, administration, and parishioners. This role is responsible for assisting the administration and teachers in the planning and programming for schoolwide and campus events, supporting the learning environment for all members of the school community. General office responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering phones, greeting and directing visitors, management of supplies and machines, copying and material support to administration and teachers, record keeping (both physical and electronic) and filing for all school programs and administrative needs. Additionally, the Admin Assistant supports the creation, organization and distribution of school materials and communications, and scheduling needs for school programs and administrative team. The Penn Administrative Assistant is the primary coordinator for weekly newsletter communication and manages database and information changes for the school. The Admin Assistant supervises students as needed, including attending to sick and injured students when. As a face of the school, the Admin Assistant fosters school spirit and a positive office environment through professional, supportive, and respectful interactions with all stakeholders, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality of information.
The position is full-time, benefit eligible with regular hours during the school day (generally 7:00 - 3:30). Some evening hours in support of school events as scheduled.
Qualifications
-Computer proficiency especially in word processing, database management, spreadsheet development, and desktop publishing
- Basic Office Skills - ability to operate copiers, printers and other office machines
- Basic First Aid and CPR
- Compliance to all Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements including passing a criminal background check and credit report as requested
- Five or more years experience, preferably in a school setting
- Fluency in Spanish, written and oral, with the ability to pass a proficiency test
