Description

Saint Helena Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven First Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time position teaches core first grade subjects including Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Religion and plays a vital role in the academic, spiritual, and personal formation of our students, all in a small and supportive setting.

The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who brings both strong instructional skills and a deep commitment to student growth. They will create well-planned, standards-based lessons across subject areas, differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and foster a classroom environment rooted in faith, curiosity, and care. We are especially interested in candidates who are practicing Catholics and enthusiastic about joining a collaborative, joyful school community anchored in the Catholic tradition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Masters degree in education
  • Experience teaching and/or working with children
  • A commitment to working in partnership with parents, colleagues, administration and students
  • Strong written and verbal language skills
  • Practicing Catholic
  • Experience or training in evidence-based early literacy instruction(preferred)
  • A current Minnesota Teaching License (preferred)
