Description
St. Peter Catholic School is searching for a part-time K-2 STEM teacher to design and implement engaging learning experiences that foster curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in young learners. Classes taught will be hands-on, project-based lessons that introduce students to the basic skills of science, technology, engineering, and math.
Classes are taught twice per week to each of our K-2 classrooms.
Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Have experience teaching young elementary students in project-based learning,
- Understand the premise of STEM instruction and its value in fostering a love for discovery and learning,
- Be able to engage students in lessons that make complex concepts fun while developing the desire to further explore and discover,
- Be joyfully practicing the Catholic faith,
- Be able to develop hands-on curriculum that is engaging and inspiring.
