Catechetical Ministry Coordinator

The Catechetical Ministry Coordinator organizes our parish religious education programs. This is a part-time, flexible, salaried position.

Key Responsibilities

• Whole Community Formation: With staff and other parish team leaders, facilitate a comprehensive program for all ages that includes faith formation, service opportunities, and community meals
• Sacramental Preparation: Direct programs for Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation
• Youth Programs: Coordinate various youth opportunities, including Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Advent program, Stations of the Cross, and summer service trips
• Volunteer supervision: Mentor and oversee the training of all faith formation catechists and volunteers.

• Curriculum and media management: Oversee the collection and use of educational materials and Parish Library
• Community Events: Collaborate with staff and volunteers on community-building events

• Bachelor’s degree in education, ministry, or related field
• Experience living the Catholic faith and ability to articulate its teachings
• Experience working as part of a team
• Five years of pastoral ministry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Aptitude to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
• Flexibility to work Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings as needed as well as Sacramental retreat days
