After School Care Supervisor

Purpose of Position:

This is a part time position supporting students in Immaculate Conception’s after school program, Journeys.

Responsibilities:

• Support after-school programs, including scheduling, supervision, activity preparation, and communication with parents.
• Assist with other student supervision duties as assigned.
• Supervise the safety of children in the classroom and on the playground during after-school hours.
• Serve after-school snacks and maintain records as required.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (student contact days)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in school nutrition, childcare, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Pass a background check as required by the school and state.
• English and Spanish are preferred languages for oral communication.
• Social security number or legal authorization to work in the United States is required

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work a part-time schedule of 12.5 hours per week, including attendance at required school events (graduation, holiday programs, and other activities as determined by administration)
• Sustained mobility to move throughout classroom and school environments for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks required in an educational setting
• Full sensory capabilities including ability to speak clearly, see, hear, and respond effectively to students, staff, and administrators at all times
• Ability to fulfill all commitments of the educational program throughout the school year
