Description
PreK-High School and Children/Youth OCIC
Sacraments: Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Collaborate with school in sacramental preparation.
Foster and expand a Family Formation approach to the faith.
Youth Group – Youth led activities, adult chaperones
Research, choose and implement curriculum/materials
Recruit, train, supervise volunteers
Communicate and interact with families
Oversee the registration process for all families.
Help create a productive environment, where there is harmony, good morale, and cooperative teamwork; evaluate and take corrective action as appropriate.
Help to facilitate effective communication between employees and volunteers at the parish.
Perform the job in a manner consistent with moral, ethical, legal, and financial standards of civil and canon law, and Catholic Church teaching.
Reports directly to the Pastor on a regular basis regarding faith formation ministries and mission effectiveness.

Carries out special projects and other assignments as requested by the pastor.
Employment in and by the Catholic Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, nor can it embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. It is required that this employee be a practicing Catholic.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate understanding and acceptance of Catholic doctrine.
- BA or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience in parish preferred.
- Understanding of Archdiocesan policies and reporting requirements desired.
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and an acceptable credit report and Safe Environment requirements.
- Email/internet literacy
- Able to participate in occasional evening and weekend meetings, events or Masses
- Bilingual in Spanish required
