Ave Maria Academy is seeking caring and dependable Afterschool Care Staff Members to supervise students in a safe structured and faithful environment during our after-school program from 3:30-6:00 pm.  This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to contribute to a joyful and respectful school community grounded in Catholic values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in grades preschool through 8th grade during after school care hours 3:30 – 6:00 pm on days when school is in session.
• Uphold the Catholic mission and behavioral expectations of the school.
• Provide a safe engaging environment through organized games, activities, quiet time, and homework support.
• Assist with check in and check out procedures maintaining accurate attendance records.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and school administration.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Opportunities for additional hours during early release days or special events.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills ability to manage groups of children with patience and kindness.
• Must be dependable, punctual and committed to student safety.
• Must complete and maintain all VIRTUS and safe environment training required by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
