Youth Minister

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to serve as our Youth Minister / Confirmation Coordinator. This role will involve leading and coordinating youth ministry activities, as well as overseeing the preparation of candidates for the sacrament of Confirmation. Responsible for implementing faith formation by responding to the catechetical and spiritual needs of high school age teens. The basic role is that of planning, implementing and evaluating evangelization and catechesis opportunities for these age groups, keeping in mind the goal of all faith formation is that of fostering a faith that is “living, conscious and active. . .” (NCD #32). The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will minister to and with the youth, integrating the catechetical, social, liturgical, and service components of youth ministry.

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Strong understanding of Catholic theology, teachings, and sacramental preparation.
• Passion for working with youth and helping them grow in their faith.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to youth, parents, and volunteers.
• Ability to plan and execute engaging and age-appropriate activities and events.
• Leadership abilities, with the capacity to recruit, train, and empower volunteers.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• Membership in good standing with a Catholic faith community.

• Flexible work, MUST be present where needed, ready to work as needed to meet responsibilities. Includes recognizing when situations require more effort, satisfying responsibilities in a timely manner, providing an example of punctuality and attendance.
