Description
St. Odilia Preschool & Child Care is seeking a welcoming, loving, and energetic person to lead a play-based classroom grounded in faith and love. Teachers work cooperatively with assistant teachers and administration to provide a well-organized, safe, and positive environment for children. Preschool teachers are vital in helping children discover, learn, and support the mission of St. Odilia Preschool. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of early childhood development and enjoys spending their days with little learners. St. Odilia Preschool teachers work with children as young as 24-months of age. This particular position works with children 3 years of age.
St. Odilia Preschool offers a collaborative faith-filled environment that values adaptability, growth mindset, professionalism, positivity, and a desire to support the philosophy and mission of St. Odilia Preschool & School Age Care. All new teachers at St. Odilia Preschool are supported through a weekly mentorship program.
This is a school-year teaching position scheduled for Tuesdays & Thursdays for 8 hour shifts.

Qualifications
-Must meet DHS Rule 3 requirements for teacher. A Minnesota teaching license is preferred.
-Ability to collaborate and work well with other teaching staff to create a warm environment that is developmentally appropriate for toddlers and aligns with our play-based teaching philosophies.
-Strong understanding of early childhood development and be able to articulate that understanding when leading classroom assistant teachers.
-Excited to work with young learners and understand developmentally appropriate practices and behavior guidance techniques.
-Builds positive and professional relationships with administration, coworkers, students, and families.
-Able to enforce required safety procedures and policies of St. Odilia Preschool and state licensing policies.
