Music Teacher

St. John the Baptist Catholic School is looking for an energetic and creative music teacher to join our professional staff to provide quality music instruction aligned to the state and national standards. The music teacher will be responsible for teaching music theory, vocal skills, basic instruments, and planning concerts in a manner consistent to the joyful mission of educating our children in the framework of our Catholic faith.

• BA/BS degree
• Current State of Minnesota Teaching License – Have and maintain appropriate credentials for presentations.
• Active in the Catholic faith.
• Demonstrated appropriate educational experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with others.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new educational strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain a classroom of students effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to take direction from the principal and effectively complete new programs, processes, and procedures as directed.
• Able to pass required background check and complete required initial training.
