Job Purpose
The Mission Strategy Consultant leads and executes client engagement projects, delivering strategic financial and operational solutions that help Catholic institutions navigate evolving ministry, planning, and resource needs. The role advances mission-centered decision-making, supports financial analysis and planning, provides education and training, and delivers measurable value to clients and partners.
The ideal candidate blends analytical rigor with mission awareness and is adept at applying financial and accounting principles to real-world ministry and operational challenges.

Applicants must be active, practicing Catholics with a strong knowledge and understanding of the Roman Catholic Church, including its structure and ministries.
Representative Responsibilities
- Engage parishes and schools in Emmaus Partners’ loan, consulting, and planning services.
- Analyze financial statements, budgets, and data to identify insights and strategic recommendations.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parishes, schools, and diocesan/archdiocesan staff; both within and beyond the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
- Apply financial planning and accounting concepts to support budgeting, financing, forecasting, and long-range planning consistent with Emmaus Partners’ offerings.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships and cultivate new engagement opportunities.
- Provide training and education consistent with Emmaus Partners’ strategy and client needs.
- Support pastoral, strategic, and structural planning projects within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and in other dioceses as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field required; CPA or master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Professional experience in accounting or finance with demonstrated competency in financial analysis required.
- Consulting, process design and delivery, or experience advising organizations on financial/operational matters preferred.
- Lending experience preferred.
- Facilitation experience or formal facilitation training are preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to translate financial concepts for non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrated understanding, acceptance, and respect for Catholic doctrine.
