Long Term Substitute Preschool Teacher Assistant

The preschool teacher assistant will provide professional assistance to the lead preschool teacher in managing classroom activities and delivering age-appropriate instruction. The Preschool Teacher Assistant will help implement the early childhood curriculum to support the physical, mental, emotional, and social development of young learners while upholding the school's mission, philosophy, and code of conduct.

This is a long-term substitute position beginning January 31- April 2, 2027, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children
• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate instructional methods.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, patient approach to student supervision and management.
• Work effectively and be able to maintain a collegial atmosphere in and out of the classroom.
• Possess the ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to pass a background check
• Complete “Essential 3” training
• Be a positive advocate of St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
