Description
Saint Agnes School is now accepting applications for a long-term substitute Religion Teacher. This is a temporary position from January 2026 – March 2026. The position’s primary duty is the teaching of and joyful witness to the Catholic Faith for students in Grades 6 and 8. Daily duties include fidelity to the school's religion curriculum, lesson planning and delivery, grading student work, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents, student supervision, and collaborating with colleagues.
Saint Agnes is seeking a highly motivated individual who is a practicing Catholic who can offer a daily and positive witness to his/her faith. Desired candidates also have a passion for educating and forming Christian youth, as well as possess an interest in collaborating with other instructors. Important characteristics include a focus on student learning, classroom management skills, ability to collaborate on a team, ability to integrate technology into instruction, and competence in the subject areas taught. Saint Agnes seeks teachers who possess a love of learning, devotion to the school’s mission and philosophy, and a desire to support the intellectual and spiritual development of each student.

Qualifications
Practicing Catholic – required
Bachelor’s degree – required
Experience – preferred
Other Desired Qualifications:
Polished and effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans
Ability to manage well a classroom environment
Ability to relate well with students
