Description
Responsibilities include
Ordering and transporting prepared and packaged meals from local public school.
Serve nutritious meals that meet the guidelines of the Free School Meals for Kids Program in partnership with a food vendor using and cleaning reusable food trays,
Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student meal participation, ensuring compliance with the Free School Meals for Kids Program and school policies. Submit monthly counts to the State of Minnesota for reimbursement. Manage family accounts, too!
Organize inventory & ordering: Manage food and supply inventory of food, milk, and supplies and place orders.
Student Meal Tracking: Log and manage student meal records to ensure eligibility and participation in the Free School Meals for Kids Program.
Organize volunteers for lunchroom and create a positive work environment.
Communication: Collaborate with school administration and Free School Meals Program and student dietary needs.
25-28 hours a week, 7:30-12:30
20.00 per hour
Qualifications
High School Diploma/associate degree
Enjoy working with children.
Knowledge of Free School Meals for Kids Program guidelines (training available)
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to demonstrate or willingness to learn technology skills as the position demands.
Successfully complete standard Archdiocesan background checks.
Successfully complete VIRTUS training.
Must be dependable and punctual
Demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation
Demonstrate the ability to work alone without supervision, obtaining direction when appropriate and possess the ability to collaborate with and support other teachers, staff and parish staff
Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and controlled in a chaotic situation
