St. Cecilia is a small but mighty community nestled in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood of St. Paul. As members of the Body of Christ, we live the gospel of Jesus Christ in our daily lives by:

  • welcoming and respecting all people in their faith journey,
  • praising God in worship and song,
  • celebrating the sacraments,
  • growing in faith, and
  • acting in charity and justice. 

We are looking for a part-time Communications Coordinator 16-20 hours/week. Office coverage is Wednesdays & Thursdays 10am-2pm; remaining hours are flexible.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communications
    • Bulletin - prepare, edit, upload; coordinate with staff and parishioners for content; communicate and meet deadlines
    • Weekly email - share current events; links to bulletin, online worship aid, website, etc; also responsible for emails regarding closures or changes in schedule
    • Weekly worship aids for online services
    • Seasonal worship aids
    • Point person for any needed posters, signs, bulletin boards, etc. 
    • Website Management - write, edit, design and maintain content for the website; oversee general maintenance and updates
  • Staff Support: assist with projects as needed
  • Phones/Office/Receptionist: Wed & Thur 10am-2pm
  • Staff Meetings (1x/month): prepare agenda, take notes, coordinate lunch order
  • Calendar: maintain paper and electronic calendar
  • Staff Liaison for events (Giving Tree, parish dinner, etc)
  • Volunteer Coordinator: maintain current list of available volunteers for projects as needed, manage Sign Up Genius for events and other volunteer needs
  • Copier: contact for maintenance, supplies
  • Parish Directory (end of 2030): coordinate photo sittings, complete layout, proof

 

Qualifications

  • Strong writing, organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to provide generous hospitality to all who walk through our doors or call in
  • MailChimp
  • Publishing software
  • Work on team/job share
