Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Level I Catechist

• Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) teaching method knowledge
• Successfully give presentations to small groups of children in the Atrium
• Maintain accurate records for the work presented to and work with the children
• Maintain Atrium environment by replacing used materials and preparing the environment for the next Atrium session
• Help children develop their relationship with God through their contact with Scripture, Liturgy, and the History of Salvation
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with CGS Leader and Faith Formation Minister
• Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for the children
• Desire to share their faith with families of our parish

• Level I CGS Certification Required
• Strong Knowledge of and commitment to the Roman Catholic Faith. It is required that this employee be a practicing Catholic
• Atrium hours are afternoons Mondays – Wednesdays 3:00 – 6:30 PM
• Must be able to build Lesson Plans for each child, each week
